• CLASSIC B : Age 11 to 13 years old 
  • One fast movement from any classical sonatina
• CLASSIC C : Age 14 to 16 years old 
  • Chopin: Waltzes
  • Chopin: Nocturnes
  • Tchaikovsky: The Seasons

Elite Category :

• ELITE A : Age 8 years old and below
  • Burgmuller: 25 Easy and Progressive Etude Op. 100

• ELITE B : Age 9 to 12 years old 
  • Debussy: Children’s Corner

• KIDS FREE CHOICE B : Age 11 years old and below, max 3 minutes.

• CLASSICAL FREE CHOICE 

• Classical A : Age 12 years old and below, max 3 minutes.
• Classical B : Age 13 to 16 years old, max 4 minutes.
• Classical C : Age 18 years old and above, max 5 minutes.

• ROMANTIC FREE CHOICE 

• Romantic A : Age 12 years old and below, max 3 minutes.
• Romantic B : Age 13 to 16 years old, max 4 minutes.
• Romantic C : Age 18 years old and above, max 5 minutes.

• 20^thCENTURY or AUSTRALIAN COMPOSER FREE CHOICE 

• Open Age, max 4 minutes.

COMPETITION RULES

     1. Age-count of contestants as of 1^stJuly 2019.

     2. Last date of entry 1^st July 2019.

     3. Complete the application form and return via email to: lapianistasydney@gmail.com

     4. Birth Certificate or proof of age must be attached together with the application form.

     5. All payments should be made only in AUD.

     6. Payment is to be made via bank transfer to:

    Note : Name of the entrant MUST be stated in the “description” bar.

7. All performance must be memorized.

8. Entrants can apply for greater age categories.

9. A Soft copy (PDF Files) of material must be provided when submitting the application form, no later than 1^stJuly 2019.

10. Application fees are non-refundable for any cancellation, except an event is cancelled.

11. La Pianista Australia reserves the rights to cancel an event; refuse or amend entry, should there be insufficient entries.

PERFORMANCE RULES

1. All performances MUST be memorized.

2. All repeat signs (including first-time bar) are required to be omitted, except DaCapo (DC) DalSegno (DS) indications.

3. Participants are advised to dress appropriately.

    Dress code : FORMAL (No T-shirt, jeans, sport shoes, sandals, etc)

4. La Pianista Australia reserves the right to ‘cut’ or stop the performance exceeding the specified time limit.

5. The adjudicators’ decision is FINAL and JUST.
